How to Credit Repair
For years I had heard that credit repair was illegal - and that is exactly what the credit bureaus want you to believe. However, just like you have the right to plead not guilty in a court of law, you have the legal right to update, dispute and request changes to your credit report that are incorrect or inaccurate.
Can you do this yourself? Yep! Sure can. Will you? Probably not.
Why? Because it is time consuming and the credit bureaus do not make it easy. Look, in all reality, the credit bureaus are a business to make money. Their clients are not you and me. They are the people who use their services every day like credit card companies, card dealers and yes, even banks. Updating your credit report does not make them money; it costs them money in the form of time and research.
Credit bureaus don't want to do it (fix your credit). They would rather us just leave them alone. But the law requires that the do! Yes, even though they try to tell us otherwise, the LAW REQUIRES THAT THEY INVESTIGATE AND REMOVE ITEMS FROM OUR CREDIT REPORTS! The law is on your side.
In the past I have helped people remove items from credit but it is becoming more and more difficult for even me to help. I now recommend you use a reputable service to help you.
I recommend one where it is not unusual for them to raise your credit scores 100 points or more. How long does it take? On average, it takes about 6 months. The results you get may take more or less time.
Here is an Example where the score was raised 109 points in just 64 days:
Before: Credit Scores were 599, 580 and 504

After: Credit Scores are now 708, 628 and 613!

It is a LOT cheaper and a lot less frustrating then trying to do it yourself AND it will save you a TON of time.
